Getting Started! What do you need?

This is not an official list :) However, this is BASICALLY what equipment you will need to begin working from home:

Computer with 512 MB or MORE - some jobs can and will require 2 gigs but they will tell you that up front.

Windows Operating System - XP is usually the one requested so far, however some do support Vista.

Land line telephone - You will also need a phone with a headset, trust me...you won't want to hold that phone up to your ear all.day.long. Cell phones, VOIP phones (unless otherwise stated) or Magic Jack WILL NOT be acceptable.

High Speed Internet - This means cable or DSL. I've never seen a wah job that will accept satellite or dial-up.

Email address - Please make sure you have somewhat of a professional email address. No one is going to take someone serious with an email address like : bootydancer69@whoever.com or ismokeallday420@areyouserious.com

Let's be realistic. Your email address is your very first impression usually - sometimes they will see that before they even see your resume. Having an email address that is unprofessional is much like sh0wing up at a Law Firm interview in your birthday suit.

You can get a FREE email address just about anywhere, take that few extra moments to create a new one that will guarantee that you have a fabulous first impression.
