I'll go ahead and start with a little bit about my journey with working from home and why it works for me.
I am a single mom of a super sweet little boy....okay, so maybe at 5'3" he isn't so little but he's still my little boy <3 I decided long ago that I wanted to be the one who raised him. I didn't want him in countless day cares or missing out on him growing up. I wanted to always be there.
When his father and I divorced I thought maybe my dream was over. How in the world was I going to be there for him AND work?
The answer? Work at home.
My work at home journey wasn't easy. When I started there was MUCH less information on where to go, what to do, how to do it. I felt very lost and very confused. I was nervous that because I didn't have a degree that I wouldn't be able to sustain employment from home.
I was wrong.
Working at home has enabled me to go to my son's school when needed. When there's a snow day, I don't have pay someone to watch him. When he's sick, he can stay at home with Momma. If things happen out of your control like what recently happened to my son, I can stay at home with him while he heals and not worry about missing work.
Working at home has really, truly been my little families saving grace. So, what are you waiting for?
